Ingredients

  • 1 pkg cream cheese (8oz), room temperature
  • 2 cups (500 mL) cottage cheese
  • 1 pkg (24 g) taco seasoning
  • 2 cups (500 mL) mild salsa
  • 2 cups (500 mL) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 beef steak tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) minced green onions
  • ¼ cup (60 mL) pitted and sliced black olives

Directions

1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, cottage cheese, and taco seasoning with an electric mixer until smooth. Spread this mixture into a 9-inch (or a little larger) round serving dish.
2. Layer salsa, cheese, then tomato. Garnish with green onion and black olives. Refrigerate and serve chilled with tortilla chips.
